Useless Thing

Dialogue between Toma and his friend (unfortunately I forgot that person's name... ^^). Excerpted from "QED" manga, with several modification and explanation...

Toma is a genius high school student whom able to jumped his grade to university. Several people envy him, so they try to make Toma feel as uncomfortable as possible by bullying him...

F : Why are you always ignoring them, as if nothing happened? As if they don’t even exist...
T : So, what should I do then?
F : I don’t know either... Maybe you can cry or else...
T : If I cry,would they stop bothering me?
F : Of course not...
T : So, it’s useless to cry if they won’t stop either...
